New West Consulting is a real estate valuation and consulting firm located in Mesa, Arizona. Although we are located within a suburb of the metropolitan Phoenix area, our geographic service area covers most the entire state of Arizona.

The core of our firm’s appraisal business is providing accurate and timely commercial and residential  property valuations for lending institutions; primarily banks, credit unions and mortgage companies. However, we also do prepare appraisals for individuals, real estate investors, financial planners and estate executors, and developers.

NWC maintains geographical competencies for most of the smaller communities and rural areas of the state. We also provide consulting and advisory services that are tailored to meet the unique requirements of individuals and small investor groups. 

New West Consulting was established in 1997 by Gary Granville, GCA and Neil Kilby, GCA, MAI, SRA. Our goal was  not to create a “one-stop” appraisal attempting coverage of all facets of real property valuations. Instead, we chose to make effective use of market segmentation that allows us to excel within our selected market niches. Thus, we have intentionally narrowed the focus of our appraisal coverage to “mid-tier” and neighborhood-level type properties. 

This property-level segmentation allows us to include most of Arizona’s non-metropolitan communities within our regular geographic service area, including rural areas. provide advisory services that are both affordable and comprehensive in scope. It is our extensive rural-market experience, gained from years of completing appraisal assignments in Arizona’s non-metropolitan (both commercial and residential property) markets, that sets NWC apart from other appraisal firms. Additionally, as a result of the number of rural-market assignments completed by NWC each year, we are able to “network” and develop relationships with brokers and market participants across Arizona. Importantly, we possess and maintain geographic competencies for these underserved communities (for appraisal services).
